Spring has sprung! (Finally!)

What a rough and tumble beast of a winter hung around and didn't want to giveway to the sun and birds. But alas, the temperatures are warming (even though it snowed last weekend-we're hopeful) and the birds have returned to greet the spring bulbs that are brightening up the dull winter dredged landscape.

We have been busy cleaning up the yard and getting ready to dust off our landscaping plans. Hopefully by the end of this summer the yard will start looking more like we want it too.

A couple of weeks ago we were lucky to have a friend of ours from San Diego, Jerri Gontag from Stars on the Water, visiting Boise. Dad joined Jacobi & I for a night of laid back beach music where Jer dedicated songs to us left and right as if it were our own personal concert. It was too fun!

Last week the three of us went to see some more live music. Jake Shimabukuro played at the local record store, The Record Exchange for a free concert. It was awesome to see him in person and so up close. We had first seen him in concert playing with Jimmy Buffett a couple of years ago and were blown away by his talent and sound. Meeting him in person he is one of the kindest, most open hearted people you could ever hope to meet and we hope to be able to see him play again soon. Check out his music when you have time!

This past weekend we had a great time visiting with friends. Saturday we had a quick yard sale to get rid of the things we cleaned out of the garage and then went to pizza with our friends Eric & Emily. Supposed to be preparing for our trip to Aruba(in just a couple days!), we were highjacked by our friend Dan whose birthday was Sunday. So we went up into the mountains and did some hot springing, hiking and geocaching instead. Oh well, good to be exhausted for that long plane ride right?!

We hope everyone is having an awesome spring, we definitely are. We will see many of you near the beginning of May when we'll have tons of tropical pictures to share. :) For now, check out the webcam and see if we visited that morning! You might just get a snapshot of us on Aruba. Take care!
